Stephanie Wakefield is a geographer, teacher and writer living in New York City. She received her PhD in Earth and Environmental Science-Geography from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2016. She teaches in the Environmental Studies program at The New School and the department of Urban Studies at Queens College. Her current work explores the diverse practices and technologies of urbanism being developed today globally, both as technical phenomenon and catalysts of new social and political possibilities for life in the Anthropocene.
